Winner Portfolio Night All Star Chicago; 2019

Established in 2003, Portfolio Night has long been recognized as the world’s largest advertising portfolio review program.  This fast-paced evening of advice, networking and recruitment takes place in dozens of cities around the world on the same date to help the next generation of creative talent entering the industry.

A highlight of this one-of-a-kind program is Portfolio Night All-Stars, where industry professionals from each host city select young creatives in their market with the best portfolios.

Rooted in interdisciplinary exploration, my approach to design is experimental, introspective, and strategic, often incorporating self-referential inquiry. As a faculty member at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), I teach graduate and foundational courses in Graphic Design, 2D Design, Color, Typography, Professional practices, and Capstone Research, guiding students in both conceptual exploration and applied design practice.

Beyond teaching, I maintain an active studio practice, working across collage, experimental typography, innovative image-making, and painting. My creative work has a particular emphasis on the design process—not only as an act of creation but also of unmaking, deconstruction, and reinterpretation. I explore how existing works—my own and others’—can be dismantled, recontextualized, and reassembled to generate new narratives and meanings. This process-oriented approach engages deeply with history, materiality, and transformation, highlighting the dynamic interplay between artistic experimentation and design pedagogy.

I have worked with multidisciplinary design firms in Chicago, London, and New Delhi, contributing to branding campaigns, publication design, digital media, packaging, and grant-funded projects. These collaborations, spanning fields such as science, healthcare, education, the arts, and non-profits, have broadened my understanding of design’s impact across industries.

At the Chicago Design Museum 72 E Randolph St, Chicago IL 60601

At the core of my teaching philosophy and creative practice is a commitment to mindfulness and reflection. I believe that cultivating awareness and intentionality enhances both design thinking and problem-solving. Outside of work, I integrate these values into daily life through meditation, yoga, and long walks, which serve as rituals for creative inspiration and deeper contemplation.
